New foundation graphics for diagonal tracks?

Post by Darkvater »

I stole all pictures from The TTD Photographer guy :)
All these foundations look really nice, there's only a slight beautyproblem imho, when you build vertical, or horizontal tracks. Could this be fixed with some custom foundation graphics for those places?

I photoshopped 2 images to show you my ideas....I'm horrible at graphics though. This would need some new graphics, and special code to detect a vertical/horizontal track and place these graphics:

A smaller horizontal pieze

Nice pictures, where did you get them from ;)

I like the idea, and I'm going to add to it:

If that can be done, can tracks then be built on the level below (ie when placing that particular piece of track on the flat, you can fit 2 pieces on the one square)? Ie on on the supports, and the other on the flat on the other half of the square.

Building on two levels. Now that would be nice. Though I still think that something a bit like RCT whereby you can have two adjacent tiles at vastly different heights would be nice (probably not doable here, but desirable in TM - hint, hint)
