How Do I Stop Industries From Randomly Closing Down

Post by TehAngryBird345 »

I’ve noticed that a ton of industries that I have stations at are randomly going out of business from supply chain issues. Is there a way to disable this feature because I find it very annoying?

It's actually pretty simple. You see, there are two types of industries in vanilla and those have pretty easy to understand rules.

Secondary industries (factories, sawmills refineries etc.) close down unless you supply them with with primary materials. Even a little truck line is enough to keep it open

Primary industries (mines, oil wells, forests etc.) close if their production gets very low. You can prevent that by having high ratings at the stations that pick up what they produce. If you have a train constantly loading would be enough. (Keep in mind, unless you use "temperate oil wells CAN increase production" newgrf, oil wells in temperate will never increase production

If you don't want to worry about having your industries closed down, I suggest downloading an industry set.
