IRC Meeting 2005-04-17 1800 UTC
No date, no time have yet been decided for the meeting this weekend. I suggest that people tell when they can, and what it their prefered time(s). So that we can select a date and a time which as many people can as possible.
if we are enoght people on the meetings it is A LOT esier to make decissions.
Agenda:
1. Meeting opening
2. Pick a chairman and a minutes man.
3. Discuss minutes of previous meeting..
4. Design Document
4a Confirm vote
4b What to do now? How shall we/the DD group proceed with the DD?
5. Tasks to do in parallel with the DD
6. Any other business (AOB)
7. Next meeting
8. End
If there are anyting you want to have on the agenda, please tell me.
---
I don't have anything planed for the weekend, so I can have the meeting from 8:00 UTC in the morning to ~ 23:00 UTC in the evening, and both Saturdays and Sundays.
---
EDIT: date and time decided, so the topic now shows the dicided date and time.

There was just me and Chris left, and Chris had to rush to the shop. Also as there was so few feople on the meeting we thogth that it might be better to ask people when they have time.Hyronymus wrote:Why wasn't there a time chosen at the end of last meeting?

I think we should not begin no later than 19:00 UTC, especially if we go for Sunday.
I would however be happy if the meeting begins 18:00 UTC or eaven 17:00 UTC.

I know I'm the one with the least flexible time when I'm available during the weekends (in the week I'm almost 24/24 available ) If everybody prefers to have the meeting earlier, start it earlier. I don't think I'd have a big input about the current items on the agenda anyway.
I am concerned about the fact there's still no "official" mention of how to vote for the DD writers.

So shall we say 18:00 or 17:00 UTC? (sunday)

Then I decide 18:00. But people should be on IRC at least 10 minutes before, so that we can start the meeting 18:00.

Please come 10 minutes before if possible, so that we can begin 18:00 UTC.
Edit: I have sent the agenda to the email lists.

How many votes should we have to make a vaild vote for the new vote? If we dont reach that amount, what shall we do then? Shall we use the results of the previous vote, or shall we use the results of this vote anyway, or make a new vote at the meeting, or extend the vote?
Many questions, and I think it might be good if we can decide that before the results of the current voting are revealed. Ie before the meeting.
---
I suggest that if we get less than say 10 votes (half team = 8.5) the results of the previous votings should be used.
I am open for other suggestions, but I think it would be good if we can get this thing decided today.

The previous votes would be even more useless, I think, so it's not an option using them, no matter what.zuu wrote:I suggest that if we get less than say 10 votes (half team = 8.5) the results of the previous votings should be used.

On the contrary, if so few people actually vote, I will understand it in the way, that people are simply not interested in the project. If people are following the project, they will also take their time (how much, 5 minutes?) to vote.
Now, if we don't get enough votes, we'll simply have to extend the voting period until we have enough, and confirm that people are in fact still interested in working on the project.
If there's something I hate, it's a project with lots of members but very few participants...

About two hours.
Maar het zou veel korter geduurd hebben als onze voorzitter niet deed alsof hij sliep...
